We are fundraising to protect wild + working lands forever!
You and Northern California Regional Land Trust are conserving 42,410 acres and counting, across 43 properties!
2026 started strong with permanently protecting 260-acres of agricultural lands on a flood plain, highly threatened by development pressure in North Chico, Forever! It's been since 2023 that NCRLT closed a project, and in that year three easements totaling 4,495 acres added to our conservation portfolio. 2024 was a growth and capacity building year with YOUR SUPPORT, NCRLT leveraged grants that increase staff and program capacity for establishing land protections! As of this April, in 2026, we have added another 1,170 acres of prime, regeneratively-managed rangeland in Butte County! We are near completion on an irrigated pasture in Tehama, and have lined up 25,000 acres for conservation agreement. Each acre is progress toward our goal of protecting 30% of our regional lands. There is more work to do, and work requires staff time and effort!
Your Salt-of-the-Earth donations celebrate our forward progress, and maintain NCRLT pace required to meet our region's conservation goals. You pledge any amount and frequency - one time, monthly, or annual basis. Sustained giving allows staff to remain focused on conservation planning, stewardship, identifying project funding, and completing grant applications in support of our projects and programs.
Our goal is to add 30 new sustaining donors by December 31st annually; please pledge today!
Consider starting with $10/month, or setting an amount equal to the # of properties ($43) we have, or set an annual or one-time donation equivalent to the acreage added for any projects - our recent closings: $1,170 for Wyandotte Creek Ranch or $260 for Kittyhawk Orchards. You could also honor our 2023 acquisitions ($1,176 (Oroville), $2,724 (Hamilton), or $595 (Abbey)) to celebrate our conservation progress, or anything meaningful to you as a sustained donation in support of land conservation.
